So you’ve been hearing about the benefits of dōTERRA for some time, and finally taken the plunge and paid the $35 to join with a wholesale account (or free membership if you joined with an enrolment kit). Your oils arrive a few days later, as well as a welcome pack and lots of useful info to get you started. As a member, you start hearing about LRP, and it sounds great! It really is awesome, and here is how it works!
LRP is a member’s only benefit, and it makes your dōTERRA membership even more awesome, because you get to participate in all the promos, freebies, and accrue heaps of points to get free oils throughout the year.
LRP stands for Loyalty Rewards Program, and it’s where you are generously rewarded for setting up a monthly autoship oil purchasing cart within your account. It’s an awesome way to help us become empowered to improve our natural health by committing to having one or two (or more) new oils delivered to our door on a specific date each month. Do you need all the oils? No. Will you want all the oils? Quite possibly! They are a seriously healthy addiction! The happy hormones shoot through the roof every time you get that text from Australia Post saying that your little purple box of oils is due to be delivered today!!! The great thing about the LRP is that you can cancel it whenever you wish, so why not create an LRP template (cart), spread your oily purchases out by just getting a few a month and building your collection slowly, and receive lots of benefits along the way. Then, when you have all the oils you need, you can cancel the monthly ordering (remember to use up all your points on freebies before you cancel though!).
I JUST WANT TO BE A MEMBER WITHOUT DOING MONTHLY ORDERING, IS THAT OKAY?
Of course! As a wholesale customer, you will always get access to the member’s wholesale prices (25% off retail). You will also receive your own account and password and can place one off orders as little or as often as you choose to. You don’t have to be on LRP to access those benefits.
SO WHAT EXTRA BENEFITS ARE AVAILABLE IF I JOIN LRP?
Firstly, your AU$7.95 in shipping fees is given back to you each month in points, so for each LRP order you process, you get 8 shipping points back to put towards free oils next month.
You also get to accrue points back from your oil purchases to use towards oil purchases in the future. Each oil has a wholesale price and a pv amount associated with it. When you first join LRP, you get 10% of the pv amount you ordered back in points. As you stay in the program longer, your percentage back goes up, until after a year you are getting 30% of your pv amount back in points to spend next month. Just a quick note… these points are accrued from the beginning of your LRP setup, but the first lot of points don’t pop into your account until 60 days after you join, and then you will see them appear monthly after that. Once you have points available, you will see a drop down box next to the oils in your cart where you can choose to ‘use points’ to buy this oil instead of using your money. Note… there is a $3 points redemption fee.
If you are on LRP and your monthly order is above 100pv, you are eligible for commissions from dōTERRA if you are sharing oils with your friends and family or building a dōTERRA business. (Always ensure your LRP cart has 100pv in it at any time if you are wanting to get picked up on commission runs).
If you are on LRP and you spend above 125pv on your order, you will also receive the free product of the month. To receive this, your order needs to be shipped prior to the 15th of the month.
SO HOW DO I SET UP MY LRP?
You can visit www.mydoterra.com and enter your username and password. This will enable you to access your wholesale account. In here it will ask you if you would like to place a ‘one time order’ or ‘create an LRP order’. Choose the second option and then it will ask you to choose a shipping date. I always recommend choosing a date before the 15th, so you can take advantage of the free product of the month if you choose to. Then put any items you would like to receive this month in your cart. You can choose to ship it straight away, or just save it ready to ship on the shipping date you choose. You will get an email reminder from dōTERRA two days before it is due to ship, to remind you if you need to do any last minute editing.
You can go into your LRP cart and edit it as many times as you like before you send it.
SOME OTHER LITTLE THINGS THAT ARE GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT LRP…
You can choose to ship your order earlier than the set date if you wish, just click ‘ship now’. People often ask “but will it ship again on my shipping day”? No, it won’t. If you ship it earlier, it will automatically roll over to your specified shipping day in the following month.
Once your order has shipped for the month, you are able to go in any time before the next shipping date and edit your cart and save (so it won’t send you the same items next month).
DōTERRA has a lot more than just essential oils available. Items such as natural toothpastes, natural laundry powders, gut health supplements, natural skin care etc. So you take advantage of even more points back by using your LRP to purchase a lot of your natural household items. The convenience of having everything you need delivered to your door every month, and being rewarded for it is very cool indeed!
WHAT IF MY LRP ORDER HAS ALREADY PROCESSED THIS MONTH, BUT I NEED TO ORDER AGAIN THIS MONTH?
No problem at all, you can edit and ship your LRP cart as many times as you like in a month. If you are on LRP, it is in your best interest to always use your LRP cart to make your purchases, because each time you do, you accrue more points. It is worth pointing out that you can only earn the free oil of the month once in each month, so if you place two orders above 125pv, you will get loads more points back next month, but still only get the free oil for the first order. Edit, ship, receive, repeat!!!
WHAT IF I AM DOING LRP, BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO BUY ANY OILS THIS MONTH?
Don’t worry, you have two options. The first is that you can ring and cancel your LRP before it ships. It is definitely an option, but if you are still enjoying getting your oils each month, and this month is just a bit tight, it is better to just put through a really small order this month to keep your LRP cart active. I recommend just a lip gloss for a few dollars. You won’t accrue any points for an order below 50pv, but it will keep your cart active and ensure you can carry on next month building up those points.
